Quick Guide to setting up your time-lapse

1. Mount your camera to a sturdy tripod.


2. Weigh down tripod with sand bag or weighted object.
3. Turn off ALL auto features on your camera (This includes ISO, Aperture, White Balance, Shutter
Speed, focus and Image Stabilization)
4. Manually adjust your shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance to the desired exposure
settings for your scene.
5. Check your file format select RAW when possible.
6. Format your memory card (check to make sure you've downloaded all of the material you
previously shot as formatting will delete all content on the card)
7. Find your subject and adjust the focus appropriately.
8. Program your intervalometer
9. Select the number of frames you want to take (400 is a good number and will yield 16 seconds
of footage)
10. Select the interval based on the subject you're shooting.
11. Hit Start on your intervalometer and then sit back, relax, and watch time pass by!
