ABSTRACT
1

In this paper, it will include information about the ways to make a

mousetrap car. It will also include the pollution of the cars and how
they affect the air. In addition of an explanation of the three laws of
motions so the readers would gain more information and to understand
more. It will be talking about the race car that exists in Gaza these
days.
INTRODUCTUION
Cars are basically machines that are built to make peoples lives
simpler. Cars move people from place to place in a short amount of
time and they also can carry things like groceries. Currently in 2016,
over more than 1.5 billion people all around the world own cars. All
cars have important things in it like, tires, engines, power, some sort of
metals for the body of the car and glass. Cars are very useful for
people but some forget that at the same time cars can be very harmful
to the environment and animals because of the high amount of cars
that cause poisonous pollution.
METHODS

Materials
1. A motor that can attach itself to Lego pieces.
2. 2 large Lego wheels.
3. 2 small Lego wheels.
4. A mouse trap.
5. 2 small sticks.
6. Paint.
7. Lego Pieces.
8. Tape.
9. Hot Glue Gun
10.
Cardboard Paper.
11.
Colors.
12.
2 Batteries.
Procedure:
1. Place the mousetrap on a table.
2. Pull off all the metal parts from the mousetrap.
3. Next, bring the Lego motor and attach on the top of it small Lego
pieces to make the surface flat.
4. Then, place tape onto the small Lego pieces to prevent anything
to touch the Lego.
5. Attach the mousetrap onto the top of the tape using a hot glue
gun.
6. Attach one of the small sticks to the back of the mousetrap, using
a hot glue gun.
7. Cut out a rectangle from the cardboard.
8. Draw the flag of any country, for example Palestine.
9. Attach the flag onto the top of the small stick that is attached to
the car.
10.
Cut out a triangle from the cardboard.
11.
Fold the sides of the triangle to make it standing.
12.
Use a hot glue gun to attach the standing triangle to the
car.
13.
Attach the other small stick to the front of the mousetrap,
using the hot glue gun (Extra).
14.
Attach the large wheels to the motor from behind the car.
15.
Next, attach the 2 other small wheels to the front of the car.
16.
Use the paint to paint the mousetrap and the triangle
standing shape with any colors like, Yellow, Black, red and blue.
17.
Finally, place the 2 batteries in the motor so it can move.
18.
Calculate and observe the car and its speed.

DISCUSSION
Pollution of the Cars:
Nashat.L
Cars are one of the most important technologies in our world,
they made travelling simpler and faster than before. Cars are made of
very complicated parts like the engine, the wheels, and so much other
parts. Cars may be helpful but there is a problem they cause, they are
the main source of air and the environment pollution. Because cars
works by fuel, when the cars engine works, it burns fuel and let the
fuel spread in the air, and that has caused a huge problem and caused
serious issues.
Air pollution is spread into two types:
1) Primary Pollution.
2) Secondary Pollution.
Primary pollution are produced directly to the atmosphere, and
the secondary pollution is mainly made out of chemical reaction of the
pollutants like water in the atmosphere. There are many important
pollutants from the vehicles, and some of them are:
1) Nitrogen Oxide (NOx):
This pollutant cause the lungs to weaken and annoy the body. It
also weakens the ability of the body to fight against diseases like
influenza and pneumonia.
2) Carbon Monoxide (CO):
This pollutant doesnt have a smell, and its also colorless. It is a
poisonous gas made by the combustion of fossil fuels like gasoline and
this pollutant is mainly from cars and trucks.
3) Sulfur Dioxide (SO2):
This pollutant is created by power plant and the motors by
burning sulfur that contains fuels. The sulfur dioxide may react in the
atmosphere and form particles that are considered a huge risk for the
young children and the people that faces asthma.
To make this problem disappear, a new technology was invented,
a clean and fuel technology car that was made to reduce the
transportation and climate change radiation. It is very efficient and it
also has the strategy of using less oil that pollutes the air.

Newtons Laws of Motion:

Nashat.L
1) The First Law:
The first law says that if an object is at rest, it will stay at rest
until an unbalanced force acts and interfere on it.
If an object is in motion, it will stay in motion with the same
speed and direction until an unbalanced force acts and interfere on it.
2) Equation of force:
Force= Mass X Acceleration (F=MA)
Mass = The amount of matter in something.
Matter= Anything that has mass and takes up space.
Acceleration= Rate at how fast an object is going. (M/s)
Equation of weight:
Weight= Mass X 10 m/s
10 m/s = The acceleration of Gravity.
The more force, the more acceleration.
3) The Third Law:
The third law says that for every action, there is an equal and
opposite reaction.
Example:
When a person hits the wall, the amount of force the person put
on the wall will come back at him and reflect with an equal and
opposite force.
The Race Car in Gaza, Palestine:
Mohammed Alshaikh
Recently, a group of students in Gaza were building and
designing a race car to participate in the worldwide race in Silverstone
circuit, Towcester, Northampton shire. Building the race car was a hard
mission to the team because of the occupation of Palestine by Israel.
However, they didn't surrender so without much good materials to use,
5

they used recycled parts and materials from other cars. For example, a
motor from a small, old motorcycle and pipes to build the structure of
the car. Using these poor materials they were able to build it
successfully from scratch.
Leading the team was Dr. Ghassan Abu- Orf and his student that
made up Formula (the name of the group) were 11 that worked on the
car, and about 50 students that worked on the paper about the car.
The team had the will to create their masterpiece and all students
were happy. Dr. Ghassan Abu-Orf, said,
I am so proud of my students and I am delighted that we were
able to showcase the genius of Gaza to international audiences. We will
be back at Silverstone, I have no doubt.
After 3 seconds were the car starts moving after rest, its speed
would go up to 20mph. So, the car will start fast in the race because its
motor is 610ccs. However the team still faces a problem of money. The
team needs at least $ 40,000 to fly the car and themselves to
Silverstone circuit. But, with the help and thanks to other countries
that will support and give money to the team Formula, they will gather
up the right exact amount of money in no time.
