Pursuant to Article XIV, Section 3(a) of the 2005 Sanggunian Constitution, the Ateneo
COMELEC officially announces the conduct of the 2016 General Elections.
Attached herewith is the Ateneo COMELEC Calendar for the second semester of the school
year 2015-2016. All efforts to help disseminate the contents of this memo, especially from
those who are planning to run in the said elections, shall be welcomed and appreciated.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release of the Resolution on Electoral Code shall be
postponed until further notice. The Commission shall release the document through a
memorandum and/or a post on the Ateneo COMELEC Facebook page
(www.facebook.com/ateneocomelec) as soon as possible.
The Commission shall strictly implement the aforementioned schedule of activities, and shall
be followed by the individuals and/or parties involved. The Commission, therefore, reserves
the right to refuse requests for extensions if deemed unnecessary. It should be noted,
however, that some of these dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this
happen, an announcement in a form of a memorandum and/or through a post on our social
media accounts shall be made as soon as possible.
In the account of full disclosure, let it be known that ramifications may arise due to the
prospect of a plebiscite for the Constitutional Convention.
