About us
Several years ago, one of our church families
was looking at a travel magazine and read
about a city in the State of Guanajuato,
Mexico called San Miguel de Allende. As a
result of reading about this city, they decided
to visit. That couple was Marlin and Nelma
Ivey. At that time, Marlin was serving as
one of our elders. They made that visit and,
in discovering the beauty of San Miguel de
Allende, they also discovered that there was
not a Church of Christ in the city or
anywhere close by. They came home with an
idea of seeing what could be done to plant a
church in this city. That ultimately was
accomplished in February of 2002. Please
note the section in this publication titled
What God Has Accomplished.
And so Mexico Missions was born and
became a work of the S. Huntington church.
Marlin has gone on, now, but the Ivey family
continues to be involved in this effort to fill
the State of Guanajuato with churches. Over
the years, a number of other churches and
individuals have also supported this work.
Currently 28 churches have given funds on a
monthly basis or periodically along with 39
families/individuals. We are so very thankful
for all who support this effort. Please
remember Mexico Missions in your prayers.

ministry, give me a call at 601 562-4226.

What God Has Accomplished

Since 2002, 10 churches have been planted
9 in the State of Guanajuato and 1 in the
State of Michoacan.

2 of those churches have become the

responsibility of two other stateside
churches.

Mexico Missions is directly responsible

for 8 churches in Guanajuato.

1 of those churches was planted in

February of 2014.

Future Plans
We are looking at the possibility of two new
church plants in 2015, one in 2016, and two
in 2017. Our plans also include:

Securing funding for medical missions

Developing short term US mission

teams

Preparing funding for future church

plants

Developing and continuing teaching

seminars with special spiritual emphasis
