To Whom It May Concern:

I highly recommend Lauren Checker who is applying for a teaching position within your district. I had
the privilege of working with Lauren in my K4 Head Start classroom at Mary McLeod Bethune Academy
for a full semester.
Upon meeting Lauren, her dedication and passion for teaching stood out to me. Her ability to work with
others was apparent from day one. Lauren was always very prompt, professionally dressed, and very
respectful of everyone in our school and classroom community. She was able to communicate with
students, other staff members, and parents in a professional way. Lauren was always very positive with
the students. She immediately jumped right in and became part of our community. She always had
positive interactions with the students.
Lauren was a wonderful pre-service teacher. Her lesson plans were impressive for a practicum student.
She was able to teach effective lessons that were developmentally appropriate and that engaged the
students. Lauren is going to be an asset to the teaching profession. She is motivated, willing to
collaborate, receives constructive criticism very well, she is professional, and works very hard. We were
very happy to have her in our classroom.
