Praying Mantis

Praying mantis habitat: They are found throughout the world where
winters are mild and vegetation abundant, primarily in tropical regions.

1. Praying mantis has natural camouflage. They use their natural
coloring to blend in with their surroundings while they wait for prey
as well as protect them from other predators.
2. Praying mantis have raptorial front legs, which allows them to
quickly capture their prey.
3. Praying mantis can turn their heads a full 180. This ability
protects them from predators as well as helps them in hunting
their prey.

1. Adult females emit pheromones to attract males for mating.
2. The females secret from their body a substance that covers and
protects her eggs.
