General Rules
1. Club facilities are for members and guests ONLY! Members may bring local
residents OCCASIONALLY. Out of town guests are welcome.
2. Members must inform their guest of Club rules and swimming hazards.
3. All members are expected to take an active part in the care and maintenance of
Club property.
4. BY LAW, pleasure craft of ALL TYPES including canoes, kayaks, sailboats as well as
powerboats must have enough APPROVED FLOTATION DEVICES (Life jackets or
PFDs) of the appropriate size for everyone on board. Other mandatory items
include PADDLES, a BAILER, a BUOYANT HEAVING LINE and an EMERGENCY
SOUNDING DEVICE such as a horn or whistle. It is preferable to wear the PDF but it
is currently not enforceable by law.
5. LOG ENTRY: Members and Guest must record their visit to the Club. This can be
done in two ways: By making a Log Entry in the Boathouse Log Book before taking
a canoe or kayak out. Please include the name of everyone going out in a
watercraft, the time out, destination and expected time back. When you return,
enter time in. If you are not using a water craft PLEASE RECORD YOUR VISITI by
writing all Members and guests names in the Log Book in the Club Sauna Room.
6. Permission of the Executive is required to borrow any canoe or kayak for use other
than on Windy Lake. Also the appropriate entries must be made in the log book.

7. Please remember to TAKE YOUR GARBAGE home. Please use proper receptacles
for cigarette butts.
8. Spring cleanup is usually the Sunday after the long weekend in May. If you cannot
make it, any help on any day is appreciated. The date of the closing meeting will
be set at the May meeting.
9. Children under the age of 16 cannot be given the use of the key to the Boat House.
They must be accompanied by an adult.
