Production Aims

My creative artefact was inspired by the films The Woman In Black (James
Watkins, 2012, UK) and Paranormal Activity 4 (Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost,
2012, US), which I analysed in my representations essay. I compared the ways
that fear and isolation was represented through the use of technical aspects.
These two themes influenced the idea for my creative artefact, including the
narrative, mise-en-scene and sound used. I aim to use the ideologies
communicated along the stylistic ideas that I found through the use of my two
films and replicate them in my creative artefact. The ideas for this connect
closely with the ideas witnessed in my textual analysis.
The main aim for my planning is to prepare myself for the task of creating 9 key
frames whilst making sure that I linked my production to the two films that I
analysed. The main aim for my planning is to create a location report, a screen
test, a script and a shot list. I will use this to make the links clear between my
textual analysis and creative artefact.
