Brand Description
This brand is all about being the best you
that you can be. Always driven to achieve
more and beat out the competition, but
determined to keep a positive attitude
throughout the process.
Authentic Leadership
Authentic leadership is a theory that leads to an understanding of my true-self (Fusco, ORiordan, &
Palmer, 2015). The benefit of this theory is that I will be able to understand what my strengths and
weaknesses are in regards to being a leader. I will be able to take into consideration the opinions of
others to increase my own awareness of my leadership abilities. With this knowledge I can increase
my skills to help lead others rather than following the crowd. The shortcomings of this theory is that
sometimes it is difficult to learn what others think of you and it could potentially cause undue stress
(Gruenfeld & Zander, 2011) .

Leadership Plan
One year:
I will attend interdisciplinary staff meetings at my
facility and advocate for occupational therapy.
Five years:
I will obtain the Vice President position in NOTA to
increase advocacy in occupational therapy in
politics.
Ten years:
I will be the lead occupational therapist at my
facility to advocate for all the occupational
therapists in my department.
Healthy Choices
This was a leadership opportunity
where I worked to help at risk
children learn about healthy
choices to better prepare them for
the future. This included proper
eating and exercise habits. This
aligns with my theme of living life to
the fullest by making the right
choices. Here my strength of
harmony really shined by helping all
of the children get along with one
another during activities. This can
help me as a future occupational
therapist when working
collaboratively with other
therapists.
