Answers

Listen to Mark and Louise discuss the apartments they

visited. Check True or False.

Answers will vary.

1.
Mark: So, how did you like the apartment?
Louise: Well, I liked some things. The kitchen has
lots of room. I hate small kitchens! And this is an
interesting neighborhood. Its very lively with all
the students around.
Mark: Yeah, it is. Im worried about the bedroom,
though. I dont think we could manage with just one
bedroom. Especially since your relatives come to stay
all the time.
Louise: True. I guess wed need to spend money on
furniture, too, since it only has a sofa and a bed.
Mark: Right.
Louise: The price was good, though. Only $600 a
month much cheaper than the other ones weve
looked at so far.

2.
Louise: Well, that one had a huge living room.
Mark: Yeah. But its pretty dark. I guess it doesnt get a
lot of light because its on the ground floor.
Louise: I think itd be noisy, too. Its not a very quiet
neighborhood, and theres a lot of traffic.
Mark: I guess thats why its only $700 a month. The
kitchen was pretty small, too. I dont think theres
room for a refrigerator.
Louise: Thatd be a problem. I suppose we could put one
in the living room.
Mark: Maybe. I was happy with the bedrooms, though.
Two bedrooms would be great. We could use one
as a study.
