Good use of audio throughout the mini-lesson for students who are struggling
readers. The lesson works without having the students working cooperatively.

Additional Comments:
I really enjoyed the use of the videos in Section 2 that explained the answers to
the questions coinciding with each reading selection. I was hoping to be able to
view the final assessment, but couldnt figure out how to do so without a
password.

Communication
1. Information is provided to students about how
x
1
to contact/communicate with the instructor.
2. Multiple forms of communication (i.e. chat,
x
text, forum, phone call, etc.) are made available
to the student.
3. Instructor builds community by providing a
x
place for student profiles, announcements,
personal anecdotes, etc.
4. Participation is encouraged through the use of
x
guiding questions.
Additional Comments:
There is not a place for students to share information about themselves in the
lesson (i.e. a profile page), however I dont feel that it is really necessary. The
lesson works well without it. Students are given a number of ways to contact
their teacher, and there is a forum where they can ask any questions they need
answered.

Even though there is not a syllabus, all of the criteria that would normally be
included in a syllabus are still present in the lesson (with the exception of the
grading policy).

Course/Unit/Lesson Strengths:
This was a fantastic lesson that is well suited for 3 rd graders. I would even venture
to use it with 4th and 5th graders. I really enjoyed the use of the Wix website, as I
have not had any experience with this site before. I will be sure to try it out in the
future.

Areas in Need of Improvement:
I do not have any suggestions for improvement at this time. The only thing that I
wish was different was the ability to take the assessment as if I was one of the
students.
