Dear Filipino Community Leaders of Geneva and Vaud,

Re: Invitation to a Meeting to Discuss Plans for the June 12 Celebration

Thursday, April 29, 1830-2000h, Philippine Consulate General, Geneva

Greetings ! I had the pleasure of meeting representatives of our FilCom organizations on 22 April
2010, to discuss activities that will be undertaken by the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva in
the upcoming months, particularly the celebration of the Philippine Independence Day on June 12.

The Philippine Mission / Consulate General, in partnership with our FilCom organizations, would
like to organize a picnic for the Filipino Community on 12 June 2010, 1400h onwards, at a venue
to be identified later.

To plan for the event, a meeting will again be held at the Philippine Consulate General, 6th
floor, 47 Avenue Blanc, 1202 Geneva, on Thursday, 29 April 2010, from 1830h-2000h.

During the meeting, we will need to identlfy volunteers and organizations who can serve as Focal
Points for the following Picnic committees:

• Logistics Committee – venue, sound system, tents, grills, etc.;

• Food Committee – coordination of "potluck" food and drinks, and joint barbecues;
• Program Committee – information, preparation of the program , service as emcees;
• Games and Recreation Committee – coordnation of fun events, games & prices;
• Concierge Committee – to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Representatives of our religious organizations are urged to attend the meeting on Thursday, as an
important feature of the June 12 program will be an joint Interfaith Prayer.
