ANALYSTS NOTE: Starting in 2017, House Bill 624 will move 1 percent of the gas taxes in the dedicated
fund and to the Highway Distribution Account for five years. Additionally, this bill removes registration
fees for hybrid cars. The bill does, however, keep electric car registration fees in place.
