Church Family
Thank you...
Dear Church Friends,
Thank you for your prayers, calls, hospital and home
visits, flowers, cards and goodies during and following my hospitalization. Thanks also to Pastor Scott
and Deb Mummert for their prayers and visits.
It is comforting to know that when you hit a bump in
the road, there are friends ready with prayers and
get well wishes.
In Gods Love,
Lucille Stence

Giving for February rebounded nicely to $46,073 for the month, but March is lagging with
our giving through the first three weeks of the month totaling $21,408. During the next
weeks we will be completing the Vision process, the 2016 budget and pledging.
We will need your support to implement our new Vision.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP:
First and foremost, it is nearly-impossible to create God-honoring, meaningful,
beautiful, unstifled worship services without committed and called volunteers.
To anyone and everyone who donated their time and talents during Holy
Week (and every week), THANK YOU so much. You are valued and
appreciated.
Please join us
each Sunday at
9:30am in the
Friendship Hall
What was your favorite part of Lent this year? How was it different for you? How was it the same?
What meant a lot? What didnt?
We would love to hear your feedback! eregan@centralonthesquare.org

Jeremiah 17:7-8, The Message (MSG)
But blessed is the man who trusts me, God, the woman who sticks with God.
Theyre like trees replanted in Eden, putting down roots near the rivers
Never a worry through the hottest of summers, never dropping a leaf,
Serene and calm through droughts, bearing fresh fruit every season

VBS!
June 13 June 17
6:00pm 8:30pm
Ages 3 - those who have completed 5th grade
Allow the VTF to work with BGC, contingent upon the approval of the Lowes Hero
Program
Allow a June 1st occupancy date for the grant application
Allow for the pursuance of an A-3 Occupancy classification for non-profit status (which
should remove the use of the building from the local tax role)
Agreed a feasibility study would be conducted to estimate renovation costs prior to
entering an agreement with BGC
At this moment, the most critical element of the proposal is the Lowes grant. Lowes will
announce their grant award by late April. Additionally, there are still many other questions
to be answered. Session has appointed a steering team to gather the necessary information
and it will report back to the Session as soon as possible.
The Session will keep the congregation informed as we learn more. In the meantime, we
ask for your prayers for discernment as to whether God is calling Central Presbyterian
Church to this mission.
Respectfully Submitted,
Scott A. Wiley
