ESA Student Placements at ESAC

The European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), near Madrid, Spain, offers a wide
range of student placements (traineeships) each year. Trainees will contribute to
missions such as BepiColombo, Gaia, Herschel, Integral, SMOS, SMART-1, XMMNewton, and the Archives team, Communications team and CESAR project.
The main types of projects we offer are in astrophysics, engineering, scientific
computing, IT and instrumentation. The traineeships have a duration of three to six
months and applicants should be in their final few years of an undergraduate degree
