Step by step procedure to export a deformed geometry

On the project page,
duplicate the initial
mechanical analysis

Open the previously


duplicated analysis

In Mechanical, RMB on Geometry > -> Update geometry from results
file (beta options have to be active)

Default options are

When selecting Solid in the tree, the body has to appear deformed

After that, link a FE Modeler box on the model of the duplicated analysis

Update the model line and refresh FE Modeler.


Open FE Modeler

In FE Modeler :
1) RMB on Skin Detection Tool -> create skin components
2) RMB on geometry synthesis -> initial geometry
3) RMB on Initial geometry -> Convert to parasolid

At this step the created bodies are surfaces :
1) RMB on parasolid geometry -> add a sew tool
2) Select surface bodies and apply
3) RMB on parasolid geometry -> export to parasolid file

If your CAD doesnt support parasolid files :
1) Create a geometry box on the project page
2) Select the parasolid file created previously
3) In DM export to the desired format (stp, iges)
