OF PUERTO ASS, PUTUMAYO DEPARTMENT

Objectives
To improve the life quality of beneficiaries family cores of the project.
To minimize the environmental impact produced by the use of fossil fuels.
To access to the use of technologies that improve the productive process in
their main economic activities.

Justification
The grown of the worlds population through history has produce a bigger
energetic demand each day, however that population is conscious of the
caused problem by the climate change due to the increase of the greenhouse
gas emissions (CO2) generated from the burning of fossil fuels.
Nowadays at the Municipality of Puerto Ass, Department of Putumayo, the
coverage of energy throughout electric networks is very low, reaching about a
70% in the urban sector and a 20% at the rural area, the Veradas La Paila, La
Paz and Villa Victoria, they dont count with this kind of service, which some of
their inhabitants, who only count with necessary resources, they are obligated
to use another alternative sources as generators, all of them fed by
hydrocarbons whose combustion produces gases and vapors that pollute
largely the atmosphere, affecting the natural ecosystem. Similarly who have no
enough resources are obligated to use wood to cook food, affecting flora of the
own ecosystems only for illumination during the night through the use of
handcrafted candles fed it with petroleum diesel (ACPM), which its combustion
generates toxic gases for the people from the family group.
For all these reasons, its evident the necessity to find and use alternatives of
clean energetic sources, friendly with the health of our inhabitants and with the
natural ecosystems harmony, so they can allow satisfy the electric power
needs, in order to use them in the regular home activities and in the process of
the agricultural labors, which redound in a significate life quality improvement
of the beneficiaries families.
