MESSAGE
Greetings!
Once again, the best young athletes of Catbalogan have gathered for three days of pitting
abilities, strengths and strategies for the goal of being hailed as the best in a certain field. Intense
competition, aspiring to be the best, reaching for the top these are the most common
ingredients of the Catbalogan City Athletics Association (CCAA) Meet and these are also the
same factors that make this event a defining moment for our students whether they are athletes or
not.
Amid the excitement and thrill that each competition brings, what is more important is
the lesson that they can glean from this experience. It is therefore important for the organizers,
the teachers and the coaches to constantly guide these young minds and veer their thoughts
towards the higher objective of this event, which is to build their character. By impressing on
them the importance of discipline and hardwork in achieving ones goals and instilling in them
the value of resisting the temptation to cheat just to attain victory, we can hope that both athletes
and spectators will emerge from this event as better persons.
I therefore urge everybody to work together in order to attain the aforementioned goals.
However, let it be done in a way that is still enjoyable and memorable for the students. Now, let
the games begin!
