Training Program
Sale Clerks
Allow them to be around the
sale associates that have
been there for a while. Teach
them how to run the register.
Put them on a test to see if
they can sell a pair of shoes to
customers.

Manager

Assistant Manager

Train them how to

distribute all the money
and how to manage the
store. Allow them to work
some nights with other
managers to get the hang
of it.

Allow them to be trained as

a manager just in case they
are ever needed to take the
place of a manager. Train
to write all the work
schedules of the employees

Compensation Package
1. The difference between getting paid with a wage and getting paid salary is that with a
wage you get paid hourly but with a salary you get paid monthly or over a certain
amount of time.
2. Some things an employee can get a bonus for is selling a certain amount of shoes each
month. They can also get one by bringing in new employees and bringing in customers.
3. A type of job an employee would have if they were getting paid on commission or
commission based would be a sales associate.
4. A combination plan salary is one or any combination of cash incentive elements.
5. You as a manager have to offer competitive wages or salaries because your employees
can always leave to go to another shoe department so you have to offer them things to
keep their work with you.
6. Typical things I would include in benefits is raises, vacations, rewards, and sales on the
shoes for the employees 50% off 3 pairs of shoes each month.
