We will call your office # (714-940-2842). As for your comments re:the League compromising our ability to act later in the series you are dead wrong. We apply equity and fairness. What you think is important to us but it is not the final say. I'm not getting defensive...only doing MY job. Talk to you at 3:00 with Brad. "Brian Burke" 04/18/2007 03:24 PM To Subject RE: T am not threatening you. And you are dead wrong in saying it is irrelevant to the Ducks as to actions taken against the Wild. We are entitled to equity and fairness in such dealings, and you know it. I will put it in clearer terms. Minnesota has crossed the line several times in terms of what is supposed to be permitted. And I think the NHL should have done something about it by now, in a loud and clear fashion. The League's failure to act earlier has now compromised its ability to act later in the series, in my humble opinion. NHL0029673 So get as defensive as you want. The volume has been yanked upward here by one team, and they have acted with impunity. The NHL should have cracked the whip, and failed to. Just my opinion. You say we can do what we want, and you will fine us if you think it's appropriate, Really? When you just let Minnesota utilize full replays? T would like to see you make that one stick. Rules in one building and not another? Colie, read between the lines. I think the Wild should have already received a stiff fine for all this. And we will stick to the rules if we know the NHL has taken appropriate action. Does 3 p.m. here work for you (6 p.m. EST)? I will do what we have to do. GM's have been known to hold press conferences. Coaches have been known to scream up at League supervisors during the game. Lots of crap happens. Show what you want...if you think it works or helps. If we think At deserves a fine we will fine you. I don't need te prove to anyone that I do this or that to the other team, I judge what I see. No retaliatory crap. It is what it is.If Gary is attending then present your clock replay problem to him. On the medical from a Dr question. We will get further medical evidence but I don't put much weight on Dr. reports these days. The San Jose players reports were from Dre and they were as "hazy" or more so than the trainers. The punch to the head of Johnsson at 19:17 of the 3rd period by Brad May is what the hearing is about. I will relay the medical evidence when I receive it if I feel it is applicable. What time are you and Brad available for the call? Thanks Brian Burke" 04/18/2007 02:52 PM To , Subject I have instructed our replay guy that all replays may be shown without exception. NHLOO29674 Minnesota replayed fights (not allowed), and controversial calls. The disallowed goal was replayed repeatedly, and in slow motion, to embarrass the officials. We are doing the same here, and I believe Gary is attending. I have so informed Kinger. I am tired of playing by the rules and coming up short. The public whining in this series, the replays, Risebrough's quotes, the use of replays of fights, the repetition of coaching instructions by a cameraman, post-game threats of retaliation-enough. We are a class organization, but we are rapidly tiring of the double standard here. Are you watching this crap? Do you intend to do anything at all about it? or are we left to our own devices? And don't tell me no replays unless you simultaneously tell me what the fine is to the Wild. NHLOO29675
