Greetings!

Today the world celebrates the day of the noblest individuals, the
teacher. The beings that have offered their lives and hearts to
other beings, the people behind the success of other people, and
the persons who honed and crafted the best persons in the world.
Some refer them as their second parents, their roles models, their
motivators, their friends, and their counselors, but for me they are
gifts from God with the ultimate mission to fulfill each learners
dream.
We can give the best words to describe our teachers, the best
salutations and the best praises for them but let us accept the
fact that we become prouder to our teachers specially if we know
and we have witnessed in our very eyes their sacrifices just to let
their learners speak their very first words, construct their very
first paragraphs, dance their very first steps, draw their very first
portraits, solve their very first math problems, submit their very
first projects.
Here are some WORLD facts about the teaching profession.
1. Teachers work an average of ten hours per day, one of the
highest compared to other professions.
2. 90% of the teachers spent their own money on their
students or classrooms.
3. About half of the teachers leave their profession within five
years.
4. 61% of adults think teachers are underpaid given their level
of training and importance to society.
5. 76% percent agree that many smart people in society dont
go into teaching because being a teacher doesnt pay
enough.
My heart aches upon reading this. I realized that being a teacher
is more than just a profession of imparting knowledge; it is a
profession of sacrifice, in which only those who have pure heart
towards the profession will endure. In short and in conclusion
therefore this realization gave more meaning and justification in
calling teachers as the noblest persons in the world.
Personally, I have seen this unselfish sacrifice in my mother, who
is a teacher herself. She sleeps late at night just to finish checking
papers and computing grades. She usually spends her weekends
in school to attend some physical refurbishing in her classroom.
And most of all, she usually spends her own money for
instructional purposes and classroom decorations.

Finally, I am again extending my heartfelt greetings to all

teachers and support staff this day. Enjoy and feel this moment
for the world is appreciating your sacrifices. May you be rewarded
a hundred folds for all your untiring efforts.
Thank you and may God bless you!
