PROSES TERJADINYA HUJAN

Hari ini hujan deras banget padahal udah bulan Mei. Sepertinya iklim udah kacau, seharusnya hujan
banyak datang bulan oktober-april. Mengingat Mei masih tetangganya April, penyimpangan ini
sebenernya ngga terlalu signifikan. Btw, kog bisa ada hujan ya?
Yang jelas hujan itu H2O cair (air) atau padat (es) yang jatuh dari langit. Trus langit dari mana dapat air
buat diturunin ke bumi? Daripada pusing bertanya-tanya, mending kita mulai saja.
Bumi kita terdiri atas dua per tiga air. Air ada dimana-mana, di samudra, lautan sungai, kali, parit, bak
mandi, bahkan di tubuh kita. Air ini akan mengalami penguapan oleh sinar matahari. Uap air juga bisa
berasal dari transpirasi tumbuhan dan hewan, juga manusia. Uap air ini selanjutnya terkumpul di udara
lalu mengalami kondensasi (pemadatan. Dari hasil kondensasi ini kita bisa melihat awan. Awan-awan itu
akan bergerak ke tempat yang berbeda dengan bantuan hembusan angin baik secara vertikal maupun
horizontal. Gerakan angin vertikal ke atas menyebabkan awan bergumpal. Gerakan angin tersebut
menyebabkan gumpalan awan semakin membesar dan saling bertindih-tindih. Akhirnya gumpalan awan
berhasil mencapai atmosfir yang bersuhu lebih dingin. Di sinilah butiran-butiran air dan es mulai
terbentuk. Lama-kelamaan angin tidak dapat lagi menopang beratnya awan dan akhirnya awan yang
sudah berisi air ini mengalami presipitasi atau proses jatuhnya hujan air, hujan es dan sebagainya ke
bumi. Nah, seperti itulah proses terjadinya hujan.
Di Indonesia kita mengalami dua musim, yaitu musim hujan dan musim kemarau. Musim hujan biasa
terjadi pada bulan Oktober sampai Maret, sedangkan musim kemarau terjadi pa bulan April sampai
Oktober. Tapi entah kenapa hujan terjadi bulan ini ya, ga berhenti-berhenti pula. Musim yang aneh.
