Mobile Sauna sweat battery how-to

An aluminum air battery has two

metals of different electronegative
potential separated by an electrolyte
(sweat, tears, vinegar).

Our batteries use sweat which contains sodium and chlorine ions that
carry electrons from the copper
(cathode) to the aluminum (anode). In
the process, oxygen is dissolved and
electrons continue to move from the
aluminum and out through the wire
towards the copper while passing
through the circuit (LED, charger, etc).

By combining our primary sweat cells

in series we reach the correct voltage.
Combining these secondary cells in
parallel gives us enough current to
charge the phone through AdaFruits
MintyBoost USB phone charger kit.

AncientBaghdad batteries were
found in the middle east. These
were used for electroplating
and ritual.

We use a sweat-soaked
paper towel and aluminum
foil wrap instead of
solution suspension.

We amped our cells by

sprinkling activated charcoal
powder around the copper nail.
