Gods, Heroes, Monsters - Ability Vocabulary:

Sacrifice: Sometimes a card tells you to sacrifice a specific character or kind of character. That character is sent to the Underworld for the remainder of the
game unless the card indicates a specific time period. If a kind of character (god, hero or monster) is indicated, each player with that kind of character must
sacrifice one. The character is sacrificed regardless of whose deck it is in, so make certain you check your own deck too!
Reach: Can counter a character with "Flying"
Flying: Can only be block by a character with "Flying" or "Reach".
First Strike: Character deals its damage in combat before any other character without first strike.
Invincible: This character can be sacrificed or exiled, but is otherwise untouched by the power/strength of other characters.
Trample: Any damage inflicted by a creature with trample and unblocked by a creature in play is assigned directly to the player.
Shrink: Decreases a characters power/strength ratio by the specified amount against a specified creature or creature type.
Growth: Increases a characters power/strength ratio by the specified amount against a specified creature or creature type.
Protection: Increases the power/strength ratio of a specific character or kind of character by the stated amount. Protection has no effect on the character on
the card itself, only on other characters.
Protect: (Accompanied by V.) This increases the power/strength ratio of the character by the amount stated on the card, but only when fighting the specific
character or kind of character stated.
Intimidate: a character with intimidate cannot be blocked except by a similar kind of character.
Lifelink/Lifetouch: If a character with lifelink or lifetouch deals damage, its controller also gains that many points of life.
Deathtouch: A character dealt damage by a character with deathtouch is sent directly to the Underworld. Deathtouch does not effect Hades.
Exile: Remove one character card at random from one players deck and place it in the Underworld. If instructed to "Draw 1 Card" the character may bring one
card from the Underworld and place it in their deck.

Gods, Heroes, Monsters

Directions
Gods, Heroes, Monsters is designed as a simplified version of character driven card
games like Pokemon or Magic the Gathering. Game play is modeled after the card
game War in that each player flips up one card using the power/strength number to
determine which player wins the round. The winning player collects all of the defeated
cards still in play.
However, unlike War with a traditional deck of the cards, some Gods, Heroes,
Monsters cards list an ability the character possesses. These abilities are defined on
the vocabulary list and are occasionally modified for a specific character as stated on
the card. Unlike War, there are two ways to lose a game of Gods, Heroes, Monsters.
First, a player loses when all of his or her cards are either lost to other players or in the
Underworld. Second, each player has ten life points. If a player loses all ten life
points, they lose and their remaining cards are immediately sent to the Underworld. To
begin play, distribute the cards evenly among the players. The youngest player goes
first. Play moves to the right.
