Our Church Vision

To build glorious churches, holy and blameless, in our

generation.
It is good to be zealous, provided it is for Gods purposes. Today, I guess the most
zealous people you find in America are those who are trying to build a company that
makes a lot of money. But a lot of others have no vision in their lives that they could
explain to you.
If we are zealous for anything other than for Gods purposes, then we will never have true
joy and satisfaction. Each of you is extremely important. You are a purpose-built tool for
God to use. It is up to you to say, Here I am Lord. Take my life and use it for Your will.
Our church has a visionsomething to direct us and fits what God has called us to do:
To build glorious churches, holy and blameless, in our generation.
Why do we need a vision? For unity.
Amos 3:3
Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
A vision is a direction that we agree to walk in. Our church is a family, but what brings us
together and gives us unity is Gods purpose. Even though we are from many different
backgrounds, we can have unity because we share a common goal and purpose.
A vision should be big and require faith. It should not be something small that we can
accomplish by ourselves. A good example of a big vision is the vision that God gave to
Moses, Joshua, and the Israelites. He told them to go and take the Promised Land. It was
a big vision.
Jesus told us, Make disciples of all nations. The vision should not only be big, but it
should be valuable. We are dealing with peoples eternal souls, matters of life and death
both here on earth and for eternity. We need a big and valuable vision so that it will keep
us going when things get difficult. The vision needs to be worth it.
Today, I want to explain our church vision to you. Hopefully, you will catch the vision as
well and it will direct your life, stir you up so that you have more ambition for God, and
encourage you so that you do not grow weary when times are tough.

We believe that churches are built. God has given our church an apostolic ministry in that
we are systematically building churches. This is from the Bible. Paul had an idea of how

to build churches systematically. He and his co-workers had a plan. We also believe that
there are biblical principles for building churches.
1 Corinthians 3:10
By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is
building on it. But each one should build with care.
Paul saw himself as an architect who laid foundations. He warned that we must build in
the correct way. We therefore want to be balanced in our teaching so that churches will
build up healthy, just as a growing body needs all different types of nutrients. Every year,
Ps. Lao will cover every aspect of a topic from the Bible. We store these teachings and
make them available for new churches to use, both now and in the future.
We must work hard to build churches! But the great thing is that building churches does
not require a lot of professional knowledge or financial resources. What it requires more
than anything else is willingness. God uses people to build His church, and He can
provide everything else. He needs people who are willing to yield their lives to Him.

Our vision is focused on churches, not ministries, because the church is Gods instrument
for making disciples of all nations. Many Christian organizations exist to do many good
things, but the church is irreplaceable. Nothing else can do what the church does: make
disciples.
We want to share Gods goal for the church, which is what the Bible describes as a
glorious church. We can see that the early church described in Acts was awesome, but we
believe that God is not finished with us. We believe that greater things are in store for the
church.
Acts 20:28
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you
overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
The reason that Jesus came and died was to reconcile us to the Father. He gave Himself
up for the sake of the church.
When we give up our lives to build His church, we are aligning ourselves with Gods
purposes. If you could listen to Jesus heartbeat, it would say, The church, the church

Ephesians 5:25-28
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
26 to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27
and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other

blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives
as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Jesus is preparing a glorious bride for Himself. I am not satisfied with what I see now, but
I am also not discouraged because I know that God is the one who is building His church.
He is the one who is patiently changing us. We never need to be anxious about Gods
church, but we can have peace in our hearts. He will build His church, and its just up to
us to recognize what Hes doing and get on board.

The Bible describes Gods glorious church as a pure and holy bride that is ready for her
wedding.
Revelation 19:7
Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
God desires a holy and blameless bride, not only in our position before God. We are
already perfectly righteous because of Jesuswithout any sin. But He also wants us to be
pure and holy in terms of our life experience. This is impossible by ourselves, but what is
impossible with men is possible with God.
God sent us His Holy Spirit so that we can be supernaturally cleansed, emboldened,
strengthened, and changed from the inside out.
Malachi 3:2-4
But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will
be like a refiners fire or a launderers soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of
silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will
have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, 4 and the offerings of Judah and
Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
The Old Testament prophesied about the coming of the Holy Spirit on Gods people to
cleanse them so that they could serve God with acceptable sacrifices. We need the fire of
the Holy Spirit to cleanse our thoughts and attitudes, to remove the generational curses in
our lives, and to fill us instead with good things from God.

Finally, our vision requires urgent action. In our generation can also mean with all that
I have. We want to devote our entire lives to this vision.

In our generation also means that we take responsibility for the vision. We dont want
to dump it off on another generation but do our best to accomplish it in our lifetimes. It
means that we should be more careful or circumspect in regard to how we live our lives.
Ephesians 5:15-16
Be very careful, then, how you livenot as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of
every opportunity, because the days are evil.
If we are serious about the vision, then we will be willing to make life decisions
accordingly. It will affect what hobbies you choose, what career that you follow, and the
person that you marry.
God has called our church to this vision: To build glorious churches, holy and blameless,
in our generation. This is a worthy vision. It is something that you should seriously
consider giving your life to.
God always gives more than He takes. When you give yourself to Him; He will take care
of you. You will experience a full and true joy because you know that you are doing what
He created you to do.
