On Thursday the Constitutional Court found the President had failed to uphold, defend and respect
the Constitution. In the order, the Court stated that the Presidents conduct was inconsistent with
the Constitution. The Court did, however, not find the President to have violated the Constitution
as section 89(1)(a) of the Constitution requires.
But despite this very clear distinction, the media, opposition parties and those seeking the demise of
President Zuma, have deliberately misrepresented the facts, lying to the South African public,
claiming the Constitutional Court had found the President to have been in serious violation of the
Constitution, which is false and must be condemned in the strongest terms.
On Friday 1st April, during a televised address to the nation, President Zuma, gave a comprehensive
report to the nation on the events that led to the Constitutional Court ruling. This report, was
followed by the President offering the nation an unqualified apology for the entire debacle.
When one expected the matter to end as both the African National Congress (ANC) and National
Assembly subsequently addressed the nation and provided a very detailed and sound legal
responses to the Constitutional Court Judgement and the Presidents address and apology, the
onslaught on the President continued. Which then begs the question, why? who has a vested
interest in the demise and removal of President Zuma from office while also degrading his
reputation?
And the only conclusion, I could arrive at is this consistent and systematic onslaught levelled at
President Zuma is a broader conspiracy by white monopoly capital whose masters sit in Stellenbosh,
pulling strings while their puppets, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Democratic Alliance (DA)
and the media dance to their tune.
The recent puppet, whom we have always known, also joined the chorus, adding his voice to the
recall of President Zuma; Trevor Manuel, who along with his wife, Maria Ramos, are simple
footsoldiers, being used by their greedy masters like the Ruperts. Therefore, what Trevor Manual or
his wife say, should always be treated with the caution it deserves as it is not them speaking, but
rather their masters, who represent white monopoly capital and who are determined to derail our
country and the strides we have made in the advancement of the black people.
Same goes for comrade Ahmed Kathrada, instead of using relevant channels like the ANC Veterans
League or the Office of the ANC Secretary General to voice out his concerns, he runs to his newly
found friends, the media. Well, we all know that he is only behaving in this manner because he is a
bitter man after his wife Barbara Hogan was redeployed.
I therefore, wish to remind our people, that the ANC under the leadership of President Zuma is the
only party that will continue in their pursuit of creating a better life for our people. I again urge our
people to not fall prey to these puppets like the EFF, DA and the media, theirs is strategy designed to
destroy the ANC and all government programs aimed at advancing the gains of these past 22 years
of democracy.
