HUBUNGAN STIGMA TUBERKULOSIS DENGAN TINGKAT DEPRESI PADA

PASIEN DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS II KEMBARAN


ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit yang sering menimbulkan stigma social.
Stigma tuberkulosis yang dirasakan oleh pasien dapat menimbulkan suatu psikopatologi yang
akhirnya menimbulkan gangguan jiwa yang komorbid dengan penyakit tuberkulosis. Salah
satu gangguan jiwa tersebut adalah depresi.
Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan stigma tuberkulosis dengan tingkat depresi pada pasien di
wilayah Puskesmas II Kembaran.
Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan analitik observasional dengan pendekatan
cross sectional. Peniliti mewancarai 40 pasien tuberkulosis yang masih terdaftar dalam proses
pengobatan di Puskesmas II Kembaran. Responden diambil dengan menggunakan non
probability sampling dengan metode consecutive sampling. Stigma tuberkulosis diukur
melalui kuesioner Van Rie et al TB Stigma Scales dan tingkat depresi pasien diperoleh
melalui pengisian kuesioner Becks Depression Inventory (BDI). Analisis bivariat dilakukan
dengan uji korelasi Spearman.
Hasil : Rerata skor stigma tuberkulosis dan depresi adalah 16,95 5,542 dan 20,58 7,186.
Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara stigma tuberkulosis dengan tingkat depresi (p =
0,000). Kekuatan korelasi adalah kuat ( r = 0,721) dengan arah korelasi positif.
Kesimpulan : Semakin tinggi stigma tuberkulosis, maka semakin tinggi tingkat depresi pada
pasien.

IN THE PATIENS AT PUSKESMAS II KEMBARAN
ABSTRACT
Background: Tuberculosis is a disease that often leads to social stigma. Tuberculosis stigma
felt by the patient may cause a psychopathology that ultimately generating mental disorders
comorbid with tuberculosis. One of the mental disorders is depression.
Objective: The study aims to determine the association between tuberculosis stigma with the
level of depression in the patiens at Puskesmas II Kembaran.
Methods: This research was an analytic observational with cross-sectional design study.
Researcher interviewed 40 tuberculosis patients who were still enrolled in the treatment
process at Puskesmas II Kembaran. Respondents were taken by using a non-probability
sampling with consecutive sampling method. Tuberculosis stigma was measured with Van
Rie et al TB Stigma Scales and the level of depression was measured with Becks Depression
Inventory (BDI) instrument. Bivariate analysis was used by Spearman correlation test.
Results: The average score of tuberculosis stigma and the level of depression were 16,95
5,542 dan 20,58 7,186. There is a significant association between tuberculosis stigma with
the level of depression (p = 0,000). The association of both variables is strong (r = 0,721)
with a positive correlation.
Conclusion: The higher of tuberculosis stigma, the higher level of depression in patients.
