To whom it may concern:

I had the pleasure of being Miss. Danforths supervisor during my time at Albany
Leadership during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years. Miss. Danforth came
to Albany Leadership as a first-year teacher and quickly fell into place at the school.
Miss. Danforth taught both physics and math for grades 9-12. Even without formal
math training, she still excelled at teaching the material, enough so that she was
offered a college algebra course as well.
Our school transitioned to standards-referenced grading this year and Miss.
Danforth was able to work through the transition and make it work quite well in her
class. She created a standard tracker that she uses in her classroom so that
students can easily see where they need to ameliorate. Miss. Danforth is very
familiar with the standards and when the NGSS are adopted in the next few years,
Im certain that she will quickly adapt.
Miss. Danforth was a welcome addition to the school community. Often, when help
was needed, she would volunteer her time to help throughout the building. She
maintained the scoreboard during various basketball games and volunteered to help
the volleyball team during practices. She attended events put on by the school and
also took over as the advisor of the National Honor Society. As the advisor she
rebuilt the Society back up from the foundation and created an ever-growing group
of young leaders.
Miss. Danforth has a great rapport with her students and staff and I feel that she will
make an excellent addition to any school that she chooses to work for. If you should
have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

William Rivers
