Limeridge mall hosts dribble for kids sake basketball tournament

HAMILTON, Ont. April 30, 2016 - The Limeridge Mall landscape has been a part of
Hamilton since September 1981. For 31 years the Shopping Centre has been open to the
community, providing friendly service to all of their customers.

As a supporter of community events, Limeridge Mall is hosting their first annual 3-on-3
basketball tournament, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton Burlington to be
held on Sunday, May 16, 2016.

The tournament will welcome teams in three divisions: Co-od 14 18 year olds, Girls 14-18,
Boys 14-18. Divisions are limited to 8 teams in Co-ed, and 16 teams maximum for Girls and
Boys, for a total of 40 teams participating.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton Burlington main sponsor is Sport Chek, Lime Ridge Mall
location. Sport Chek has graciously donated 20 basketballs for the tournament, while 10
court nets have been donated for the afternoon from the Hamilton School Board.

Courts will be set up in the Limeridge Mall parking lot, and each team entered is guaranteed
at least 3 games. Our host Jason Haid, Manager of Sport Chek Lime Ridge Mall hopes to
attract teams from all across Burlington and Hamilton.

This Tournament is encouraging High School students to come out, shoot some hoops and
make a difference in their community explained Haid.

Teams will be made up of 4 members allowing teams to sub a player when necessary. It is
our hope that members of the community will join together, form a team, and help children
in need.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton Burlington Special Events Coordinator Eric Mariglia
elaborates, A basketball tournament is a great way to engage in the community, and more
importantly encourages youth to give back in an interactive way. Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Hamilton Burlington faces the funding challenge of covering the cost of $1000 per match for
over 100 children waiting for a mentor match. By raising funds in this tournament, we will
be able to sponsor more matches in the Hamilton, Burlington area.

The event is themed Dribble for Kids Sake at Limeridge Mall Shopping Centre. For team
