Dear Mr. Bob,

My name is Kameron Grier and I am an 18-year-old high school graduate. The reason why I
decided to apply for this job in particular is due to my background and experience with tools and
working on cars. I am interested in the career of an automotive engineer because growing up I
have always loved fixing and tinkering with things. I have had previous jobs and internships in
the past and as a volunteer working with children and adults at Johnson Head Start. I supervised
the students while they were playing outside for recess/lunch break. I helped the staff with the
daily outdoor playground activities. While I supervised the kids and helping out the staff I
learned the new social skill of being able to communicate with different people from different
age groups. I also helped out by handling paperwork, answering phones, and cleaning. The jobs
performed in volunteer work have helped me develop skills that can be used as an automotive
engineer, such as the social skills if needed to help other employees with a certain task.
I am a well-organized and prepared employee who is ready for any task set forth by
anyone. I also have the skill of multitasking and being able to do more than one thing at a time. I
am a person who values hard work and who shows it. I feel out of all of my skills my most
important asset is leadership. My leadership skills may be used to teach or inform fellow
coworkers of a particular task set forth by any higher ups. I am a hardworking employee who is

determined to excel and motivate others who are in this field as well. I value teamwork when it
comes to working because as a group we can accomplish anything but, with one person the task
can be hard to accomplish. I am a responsible, trustworthy and fair-minded individual who
