Previous Learning: Some basic knowledge about Spain and


Spanish Language learnt the previous session (Lesson 1).

Learning Objective:
- Get students closer to Spanish Culture (contextualize learning).
- Identify and recognize names and images about Spanish Culture.
Mental Starter: SPANISH CULTURE PRESENTATION
Time 15min
In the first part, students will be shown a presentation about
some relevant elements of Spanish Culture taking into
account the following areas: traditions, places and food. The
presentation will contain: images, videos and explanation of

each element exposed. Moreover, they will be asked for


opinions and doubts about each concept.
Main activity: SPANISH CULTURE GAME

Key Question: What do I remember about Spanish Culture?

Time 10min
Once presented the elements worked, students will play a
Memory of Spanish Culture. There will be two types of flash
cards: ones with images and others with names (of the
images, elements worked). Therefore, the aim of the game
will be to relate each image with its corresponding name.
Plenary: FINAL REVIEW
Time 5 min
Students will be showed the flash cards images and they will
be asked for their names. In order to ensure that they have
learnt and identify the images of the concepts exposed with
their names.

Speaking and Listening:

Learning Strategies

During this session, the main one worked will be listening, as


students will have to listen to the explanation during the
presentation of Spanish Culture, in order to learn names to
apply in the memory game. However, according to all the
lessons methodology, the session will also imply students
interaction and so speaking is also worked during this lesson.
Therefore, students will also work speaking during the
presentation, expressing their opinion or some doubts about
the concepts exposed.

Visual: visual strategies will be worked during the


presentation but with more emphasis during the game, as
students will have to remember all the images localization in
order to take them with their name.-

Moreover, during the game students will work speaking too,


as they have to pronounce correctly the name of each
element worked.

Auditory: students are working auditory strategies as during


the presentation and the game they have to pay attention to
the different names pronunciation, in order to say them
correctly in the game.
