1. This scholarship award can be applied to payment of tuition and fees at any accredited
institution of higher education in state or out of state.
2. This scholarship is available to all ethnic backgrounds. No Scandinavian heritage is
required.
3. You must file a FAFSA & include your EFC score to receive full 25% weighting of Need
category.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL GUIDANCE OFFICE
1. Graduating senior applicants will learn of Sons of Norway Scholarship offer through
Guidance Office and will have access to the application through Guidance Office.
2. Completed Sons of Norway Scholarship applications will be turned in to and accepted by
Guidance Office through March 23, 2016.
3. Guidance Office is requested only to collect and hold all applications submitted for Sons
of Norway to pick up and review.

Sons of Norway Scholarship Application

2016-2017
Flathead Valley members of Fedraheimen Lodge 4-140 Sons of Norway have since 1913 carried
on the traditions and values brought to this new homeland by their forefathers. The past,
present and future members are committed to assisting in the betterment of our community
and we believe that investment in promising representatives of the next generation is the best
demonstration of that commitment. Therefore, Fedraheimen Lodge is offering a $3000
scholarship award to a motivated, deserving and qualified 2016 graduate of Bigfork High
School. Upon providing Fedraheimen Lodge 4-140 with evidence of enrollment at an accredited
post-secondary academic institution said award will be paid to that institution for payment of
award recipients tuition and fees. The deadline for submitting this application is March
23, 2016.
Qualifications
1. Applicant must be a graduating senior of Bigfork High School with a GPA of 2.2 or higher
2. Applicant must attend an accredited community college, college, university or
vocational/technical institution
3. ALL ethnic backgrounds may apply
