Poison Gas

Poison Gas is used to injure and kill entrenched defenders by


gas clouds being the most effective way. Poison Gas allowed for
mass killings. Gas was unlike most other weapons because it
was possible to develop effective countermeasures like gas
masks. Poison Gas was first used by the French army.

Zeppelins

A Zeppelin is a lighter-than-air aircraft that can navigate through


the air under its own power. Zeppelins revolution the ways of
bombings and scouting. The Zeppelin was originally used by the
Germans.

U-Boat

A U-Boat, also known as a submarine by the Germans, is a


watercraft capable of operation underwater. U-Boats were fleet
weapons used against enemy naval warships, they were most
effectively used in an economic warfare role by forming trade
blockades. U-Boats were operated by the Germans.

Convoys

Convoys were used to move troops and vehicles overseas. This


allowed for strategic placement of infantry. Convoys were used
by both the French and the British.

Automatic Machine Gun

Machine guns could shoot hundreds of rounds of ammunition a


minute. This destroyed the infantry. Many soldiers barely got out
of their trench before they were cut down. The Automatic
Machine Gun was used and invented by the Americans.

Airplane

Early forms were typically unarmed and used in the


reconnaissance role until personal weapons were added. The
airplane was able to be used as scouts, night bombers, night
fighters, and ground attack. The airplane was greatly used by
British.
