Personal Aims (What do YOU need to work on in order grow professionally?)

To have, create good, strong relationship with my students or any students I

train with or teach them.
To achieve in classroom management.
To arrive the information to the children in the right way they can understand
it.
Create learner-centered lesson and class.
To explain in the more clear way.

Learning Outcomes:
(Link to the MOE curriculum document)
Students will be able to (Write the
outcome word for word)
Identify the sizes and the shapes of the
leaves.
Compare the sizes, colors, shapes,
smells of the various leaves.
Create their designs in the papers by
the leaves.
Discover the small veins in the leaves.

Materials

Various kinds of leaves.

White papers.
Paints.
Sponges.
Plastic papers to cover the
children while painting.

Lesson Introduction
Whole group activity: Time: 10:10 am
Question (Blooms Taxonomy)
Remembering (low level):
Opening/Introduction: (Bullet points)
Asking them if they know what are
What will you do to introduce the concept to
leaves? Do you know the leaves of
the students?
the trees?
Engage part: I will let them guess what Asking them about differences
in my box or my basket.
(what they can remember of math
Explore part: I will show them a punch
concepts? Like sizes.)
of leaves, and I will let them see it,

touch, discover the different shapes,

colors, sizes, smells.
Elaborate part: after they notice the
different and explore by themselves I
will extend the new knowledge by
telling them more about leaves.
Evaluate part: I will give them one
activity, which related to Visual Arts
course. I will let children use colors on
the back of the leaves to make designs
and discover new thing which is the
vein. In this activity I will assessment
them by hearing, watching them
through it, they may use words or do
things that we did in the beginning like
noticing shapes or the sizes.
This activity related to the plant unit and
it includes some math concepts like the
shapes, sizes maybe creating patterns.
Active Engagement: (Bullet points)
After you've modeled the idea, what activity
will you have the students perform while on
the carpet to ensure that they understand it?

Link: (Bullet points)

Remind the students in kid-friendly language
how they can apply what they did the whole
group in their independent learning centers
Naturally they will discuss with other
children about what they did and what
they use they may include the math
concepts in their discussions.

Understanding (low level):

They will understand the leaves are
different in shapes, colors, sizes and
smells.
Applying (low level):
They will apply what they learn
through the one activity, through
the discussions or choosing leaves
or comparing between the random
leaves.
Analyzing (high level):
Through doing the activity, they will
notice further differences or they
will analyze the leaves in their
hands into the concepts they learn
today, for example, this leaf-like
these leaves in the shapes, so I will
put it in one group, or I will create a
pattern for them. Children may
observe their smells, so they may
try to test their smells and classify
it.
Evaluating (high level):
They may give some judgment to
each other or may evaluate each
other while they color or doing the
activity.
Creating (high level):
They may create shapes or patterns
while painting by the leaves or
create a specific way in ordering.

Learning Center Resources or Materials

Learning Center 1, 2, 3 and 4
Will have the same activity called, printing by natural objects, which are

leaves. I am going to apply art course technique with them. They will use the
same materials, but every level has the different level in thinking. For
instances, children who are in high level may create patters by the leaves big,
small, big, small. Other may use just colors others may use the sponge to
create background or color by it others will notice the veins of the leaves and
so on.
The materials:
Acrylic paints. (removable by the water.)
Trees leaves.
White papers.

Small Group Learning Centers: Time: 10:25 am

Learning Center 1 Title: Printing By Leaves
Explain step by step what the students will do
Children will use the various leaves.
Put some paint on it. Any color they like.
Make sure they spread it will.
Press on the leaf on the white paper to make the print.
Closing activity: Time: 10: 40 am
Allow children time to discuss how what they did during their learning centers and
how it relates to the lesson outcome
"Remember that." (restate outcome using kid-friendly language)
I will ask each group to come group to make a circle on the carpet and ask
one of them to show, talk about what they did in their activity and what they
learned.

Assessment for Learning: How will you determine if the students understood the
learning outcome? What evidence will you show to prove this?
By observing, noticing them and collect samples or just take photos as clues for it.

Differentiation:
Even though it is just one activity to do the difference is the way to apply it.
Children in high level may think about use sponge to color, create patterns, use
sizes. High-mid children will notice the different shapes or connect it with a form,
compare between leaves and use it in their white papers. The low-mid level may
notice the various textures of leaves and combine two leaves together. A low level
may just paint and print one leaf. This depends on child creative and thinking.
Recommendations / Future personal targets / Areas of focus
The areas that I need to develop are:
Provide more and wider materials to use it.

Make sure to give them more time to do it.
