Article 1.

Purpose of Contract
The purpose of the contract is to arrange and observe all the necessary rights and duties to
each of them in performing the activities of welding within the ASL premises.
Article 2. Scope of Contract
ASL has documented quality management system that meets applicable standard and work
towards implementation of ISO 3834-1: 2005, ISO 3834-2: 2005, ISO 3834-3: 2005, ISO 3834-4:
2005 and ISO 3834-5: 2005 standard.
Welding Engineer assesses and certifies ASLs welders according to the ISO 3834-1: 2005, ISO
3834-2: 2005, ISO 3834-3: 2005, ISO 3834-4: 2005 and ISO 3834-5: 2005 standard and scope
applied by product specifications. The scope of consultancy shall be limited to the product,
services and other activities assessed actually. In this regards, the scope can be changed.
ASL will inform all the Welding Engineers about any changes in the Customer/ standard
requirement & Welding Engineer had to arrange for the provisions to comply the requirements.
As & whenever required due to changes in customer/ standard, Welding Engineer will visit to
implement for updating.
Article 3. New Welder Certification
Welding Engineer responsible to certified/ trained/ rejected the welder on the basis of test
samples as per applicable procedure.
1. Welding Engineer will maintain and review the welders documents and relevant records.
Article 4. Process Improvement
Welding Engineer will involve in following process improvement activities:

Welding Engineer responsible for review, analysis and control the welding process on
following parameters on monthly basis

Weekly monitoring and checked the day to day inspection reports of weld joint, fit ups,
weld visual, NDT offering.

Prepare & implement the procedure related to welding and NDT.

Monitoring welding consumable consumption rate.

Welder performance.

Skill matrix of welder.

Skill matrix of welding inspector.

Line rejections.

Customer complaints and customer end rejections.

Internal Audit

Closing of NCR rose during 1st Party, 2nd Party and 3rd party audits.
