A - Professionalism and Understanding

B - Planning for Learning

Your objective is that the students will be able to write the portions of fractions decimals with
money. You used the coins to let students write the portion and to count quarters, halfs and a
full coin; 25 Fils, 50 Fils, and 100 Fils.

C - Implementing and Managing Learning

You started the lesson with a review and you chose the students randomly.
You praised the students with stickers to put near their names. Good to give
students a chance to answer and to explain more to let them get it. Todays
lesson is about fractions? Good to use the pizza example to explain the

fractions step by step; , . you explained the activity first and you said that
it will be done in groups and each group has a different card. You didnt
explain the activity in details. The students didnt know what to do with it. it
would be better if you take one envelop and model the activity for them. It is
a good idea to take pictures by using the iPads and present it on the board.
After you checked the students answers you showed them the worksheet by
using the screen on the board and you told them to do it. good to use the
timer. After that you asked each group leader to gather the papers and put
them on the teachers table. Then you chose three students to answer the
same worksheet on the board and it was as a competition and you did it for
assessment to make sure that the students understood.

D - Monitoring and Assessment of Learning

Good use of stickers when the students give correct answers.
You are a good helper for your students and it is good to give the students a chance to give the
correct answer.
Choose the students who raise their hands, not who speak randomly because one of your rules is to
raise their hands when they want to answer.
Good to specify time for activities and good use of the timer
Good to walk around students while they were working.
I liked the way you tested the students understanding.

E - Reflection
When I discussed the class she said that the class was cold and she didnt like the way that she
explained the lesson, but it was fine with me. She liked the lessons activities.

General Comments
A good helper for your students which make them give the answer with confidence, but you
should give more details and information about your activity. Fun and understandable lesson.
Good to try to have a good classroom management.

Students reflection on the feedback:
On her first observation on my teaching for grade four students, she mentioned variety note
about what I have done and how i did in my lesson. I like the way that she always give me
orally positive comments on my work because it's common that all the teacher in their original
observation they get nurse and concern about what i have done. However, my starting was very
well and my way of choosing the students was organized even if it was randomly.
My mistake that i have done in this lesson is that at the beginning of establishing the activities
for groups, because I explain to them what must they do but i didn't model for them what should
they do in specific way and clear instruction.
She told me that I must model for them and I have to solve for them one example to keep it
clear for them. Also, the time that i gave them to finish the activity it was useful instruction for
them to done their work.
However, she add to my second thing that I need to focus on that is my rules, if u said
something to them I must do it!.
