Yes-associated protein (YAP) is considered to be a nuclear effector in the Hippo

pathway, which is significant in the regulation of cell growth, division and apoptosis,
however, the hippo pathway is commonly altered during carcinogenesis that leads
YAP as a carcinogenic factor that is over-expressed in gastric carcinoma.
Conversely, Dobutamine was found to reduce the expression of YAP in the nucleus,
by translocation towards the cytosol inhibiting the growth, migration, cell colony
formation, and cell invasion of SGC-7901 cells. It also arrested the G 1/S phase
increasing the apoptosis of gastric adenocarcinoma cells which may be used as
neoadjuvant therapy not only for gastric cancer, but also for other tumors.
