feel about this type of essay? Is it a strength for you or a
weakness?
Students will review materials for an FRQ they will
complete tomorrow (strictly timed 40 minutes). They will
discuss the material at their table to ensure that all
understand it.

WEDNESDAY

writing by completing a synthesis timed essay.

FRQ!

THURSDAY

rhetorical devices through oral discussion.
(1C) Do Now: What is a rhetorical device?
Students will review and discuss rhetorical strategies in
class and discuss as a whole class to show understanding.
FRIDAY

speaking and listening. They will show their learning by
engaging in Socratic dialogue.
Do Now: Please produce the opening question(s) you
have prepared for todays discussion. Be ready to share
it with the class and explain why this particular question
is important to you and important for us to explore.
