Wayne Carey will reportedly
be inducted into the game's
Hall of Fame next month.
The dual premiership
captain will be among five
inductees at a ceremony on June
3, the Herald Sun newspaper
reports.
Carey's off-field
behaviour, including brushes

Neilson, have overshadowed his
football career.
He previously failed the

Poor old Adelaide Crows. Not even a Showdown with bitter cross-town
rivals Port Adelaide could lift them to their first win of the season. While
the Crows came out firing in the first three quarters, they were overrun in
the final term by a stronger Port outfit. Perhaps the Crows can rally next
weekend to beat fellow bottom-of-the-table-dwellers, Richmond, in
what's been dubbed the 'wooden spoon playoff'. Down at Alberton,
however, Port can look ahead with confidence as they face Essendon,
Carlton (at home), Melbourne and Richmond in the next month arguably
four very winnable games for the Power.

expected to reveal where his
sporting future lies this week.
The AFL remains a possible
career move for the former
Melbourne Storm man, with
the Greater Western Sydney
franchise capable of offering
the 21-year-old upwards of $1
million. There is no doubt
Folau is a superb athlete who
is young enough to forge a
lengthy career in the AFL.
However, unlike Gold Coast's
glamour signing Karmichael
Hunt, Folau has had no AFL
experience. It's big bucks for a
bloke unfamiliar with the
complexities of AFL. The
marketing boost that comes
with signing big name from a
rival code would soon be
forgotten if said convert can't
get a kick or a game. The
search for new talent will be far
and wide in the coming years,
perhaps investing the money
more wisely and pillaging the
national drafts is a better move
for now.
