Abortion

Today the most controversial term out there today would have to
be abortion. Every day we hear about the issue of abortion all over the
news. And with the United States presidential election coming up, it is
more and more on the news now. But everyone has their own opinion
about the situation. In fact there are two clear sides on the subject.
Either you are for abortion or you are not for abortion. In will be
dissecting both sides of the issue. And I will be talking about the
different court cases that affect the issue in America. Then at the end I
will be talking about my own views on the subject.
The first side of the issue are the people that are all for the issue.
These are the people that are for the abortion. They are for the
termination of a fetus before it is born. They believe that life starts
when the baby is born. When the baby takes its firsts breathe, that is
when the baby is a baby. It seems that a lot of adults share the views
that abortion is right. In 2011 alone 1.06 million abortions occurred ( U.S.
Abortion Statistics),

this is telling us that a lot of people support the idea of

abortion. To me that is not a shocking thing to find out. Today and back
in 2011 people are a lot more accepting of different ways of life. I
understand why abortion is so appealing. For some people it is like a do
over. It is a way for people to press the undo button for a mistake that
they did in the past. But for others it is a way to forget a terrible

experience that happened to them. Less than one percent of women

that get abortions are women that survived a rape. ( U.S. Abortion Statistics)
Even tho this is a low percent of women. It is still terrible that it is even
a statistic in the first place. It is disgusting that people will rape
women. That they will take something that is as beautiful as sex, and
turn it in to something so terrible, nasty and violent. But this is just a
low amount of people that get abortions that way. To add on to this
only 12% of women included a physical problem with their health
among reasons for having an abortion.( U.S. Abortion Statistics) The most
common reason for abortion for health reason is if there is a chance
that the birth mother will die during the birth process. But the mothers
health is not the only reason to abort. Woman that abort also do it
because the baby might have a small percentage of living after it is out
of the womb. The complications might be that they will be born with a
birth defect, they might be born without the use of their vital organs.
They end up getting the abortion to stop the child from having a
terrible life, or to stop the baby from suffering. From that reason alone
you can see how abortion can seem acceptable. But the biggest
argument going around right now about why abortion is ok. Is that it is
the womens body and they can do whatever they want with it. At
almost every abortion rally thats out there the main point that they

bring up is how the government has no right to tell the women what
they can and cant do with their bodies. This argument makes the most
since to me. We all have the right to do whatever we want to our
bodies. Just take a look at some of the tattoos that some people get a
lot of them are the ugliest things in the world. I mean its like did you
purposely get drunk one night and decide to get a butterfly above your
butt cheeks. And dont get me started on the terrible piercing that
some people get. I mean I amok with a small amount of ear piercings
and I can tolerate a belly button piercing. But these people walking
around with gauges in your ear that are so big that I can fit my first
thru. To me that is just wrong. But it is so amazing that we live in a
country that we can do that stuff to our bodies. We can put whatever
art we want to on our bodies. But yet it is still illegal in some states to
get an abortion. I can see how it makes since. These are our bodies. If
we want to get an abortion it is our god given right to do so. But lets
stop there for a minute. When we start to bring god in to the situation
this thing starts to get complicated. But its a good way to transition in
to the other side of the issue. Lets take a look at the side of the
argument that does not believe that the women of this country sound
get an abortion

Abortion is it killing? This is the question that stumps a lot of

people. But not for the people that are against the idea of abortion. To
these people the answer is simple. They say that abortion is killing and
hey believe that it is the same as killing the baby after it has already
been born. To the people that are against the idea of abortion this is
murder. They adamantly believe that it is murderer. (Is Abortion Murder) And
they believe this for a number of reason. The first reason they believe
that abortion is murder is that the fetes is alive. The fetes in the
mother is a living organism. By aborting the fetes they are taking the
life away from the living thing. And by definition this is murder. So can
someone tell me why it is wrong murder one living thing but it is ok in
a lot of places to murder another living thing and the only difference Is
that one of them can see it coming and knows what is happening. That
is another thing. The fetes is completely helpless in the mothers body.
That fetes is dependent on the mother 100%. So that living thing dose
not even have a say in what happens to it. So not only is it consider
murder but it is a complete blindside. That fetes has no idea what is
happening. Even in the process of abortion the fetes has no idea. This
is a terrible thing to do to anything. This is one of many reasons a lot of
people are against the act of abortion. But for the people that are
really religious. They believe that it is against god. They believe that

what is inside the mother is a creation of god. That fetes is a sin less
being. And it has no reason to be murdered. It has no reason to taken
out of this world before it even enters it. AS it says in Exodos 20:13
Tho Shall not kill (The Holy Bible), this is saying that there is no
reason for anyone to kill any one. And when you are aborting a fetes
you are killing the fetes. For people that live and breathe the word of
the bible. This is something that you should never do. I mean it is one
of the Ten Commandments. In fact I believe that it is one of the first
ones. But this is not the only reason why a lot of the people do not
believe in abortion. For the people that are not that religious. People
can still believe it because abortion is just a morally wrong thing to do.
If you think about it abortion is wrong on so many levels of wrong
morally. Not to mention that it is basically murder and that it is against
the bible. But that it is in some cases a way to get out of a mistake in
your life. It is a way to get out of a last night stand that did not go your
way. It is also a way to get out of the responsibilities of a child. Now yes
I hope that a lot of people know that there are a lot of people get in
situations where they cant avoid having a baby. But they still believe
that you should at least end up giving the baby up for adoption.
Now that we have talked about the different sides of the issue. I
will be happy to share with you my stance on the issue. For me and the

way that I have been brought up I have to say that I am against the
idea of abortion. I am against it because I belie that life starts at
conception. As soon as the fetes has a heartbeat and as soon as you
get brain waves. That fetes is a human being. And if you were to kill
the fetes then it is murder and it should be illegal. Now I know that this
is not the most popular decision but it is on that I will stand behind.
In todays world the issue of abortion has always been an issue.
And it will most likely always be an issue. Now after reading this you
can now make a decision not just because of the way the majority will
feel on the subject. We looked at the issue and the people that support
the issue of abortion. And we also looked at the people that are
completely against the issue of abortion. Then I got the pleasure to
share my stance on the subject.
