VI. Procedures:
Introduction:
Students will finish reading chapter ten of the anchor text
Chasing Lincolns Killer with the support of an audiobook.
Teaching/Activities:
1. The class participate in a brief discussion about the events that
have happened within chapter ten of the text. Allow the
discussion to lead towards pivotal characters that have heavily
impacted the chase for Lincolns killer. This could be
manhunters, conspirators, family members, etc.
2. The teacher will then introduce the fakebook activity.
a. Start by showing an example of a fakebook using
yourself or a character from a previous anchor text.
b. Handout the criteria papers for students to follow along.
c. Using the website classtools.net, create a brief version of
a fakebook while following along with the criteria on the
handout. Emphasize that there has to be at least five posts
in order to save the template and creativity is key.
d. Once the instructions have been given, have students
select out of the character list which person they will be
creating a fakebook page for and document it. Remind
students that they can use the text for support.
e. Additionally, this activity should be done individually.
3. Allow students to work on this for the remain class period and
the following one. After two class periods, students should have
their profiles done and ready to present.

Closure:
Some students will have the opportunity to share their
characters fakebook profiles and interesting facts they have
learned so far about their person.
