FLOOR WITH THE TIP FACING THE TARGET ZONE
o AT NO POINT SHOULD THE TIP OF THE JAVELIN BE FACING ANOTHER STUDENT
One person at a time may be in the throwing area. All other participants must be in the loading area facing the thrower
The point of the javelin must always face the target area.
If your javelin is to enter another teams throwing zone, raise your hand. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET THE JAVELIN YOURSELF. One of
the instructors will call STOP and retrieve the javelin for you
Each thrower will throw four times (twice with dominant hand, twice with non-dominant hand)
When changing throwers. Student leaving the throwing area will place the javelin on the floor and exit the throwing area before another
participant may enter. Be sure nobody is in the throwing area before throwing commences.

Be cautious that the wheelchair will slide/turn when you go to throw the javelin. So use the wheel blocks to try to stop that movement as
much as you can

On the cue, GO, teams will try to knock down all their target pins before the rest of the teams. First team to knock down all of their pins
wins.
Participants will throw javelin once, retrieve, then the next teammate will go until all the pins have been knocked over or another team has
knocked their pins over. Continue to rotate through team members.
Same rules apply as before in accordance to javelin safety
When a team has knocked over all their pins, they must raise hands in the air and yell WHOOSH to signal to the instructors and other
teams that they have finished

We will do a few rounds with dominant hands, then transition to only non-dominant hand throwing. Be strategic about your relay line up
