Description of Task

The task is focused on the

task, the students will

The learning objectives are:

(chase, laugh, catch, cross,
meet, and shout).
Students will be able to
apply the past continuous
rule.
The purpose of this activity is to
expose students to ways of
describing physical
characteristics such as height,
eyes (color, size), hair (texture,
color, and length). In addition,
students will be exposed to
vocabulary related to clothes.
Moreover, the purpose includes
recognizing the used structure
in describing people (s/he + has
+ got).
The learning objective is:
Students demonstrate
comprehension of physical
characteristics and clothes by
drawing picture based on given
description.
For the first activity, they will
demonstrate comprehension of
such description by determining
whether the given sentences are
true or false.

The task asks students to


work in pairs. One of the
student is the police officer
who asks the questions and
the other one is interviewee
who answers the questions.
The students are required
to record themselves after
practicing their roles. Both
of students are required to
work on perfecting the
interview. I.e., both of
them will be working on
writing the answers first,
then performing the roles
assigned to each one of
them.

The task requires the


students to work in groups
and write five rules for
children in parks. The
student are required to
write the rules using must
and mustn't in full
sentences with the correct
form of verbs. Then the
students are required to
design five signs, one sign
for each rule.

This task prepares the students


for their final task (designing an
ad). They will practice
describing people using suitable
adjectives learnt in class and
used in the previous task.
In addition, this task puts the
students in a real life situation,
as they will play the roles of an
interviewer and an interviewee.
