Dear School Leadership Member,

I am writing on behalf of Mr. Chandler Hovik, currently a Student
Teacher under my supervision at Cesar Chavez High School. Mr. Hovik will be a part
of my classroom in Fitness and Sports/Advisory until the end of April. Prior to
student teaching I have known Mr. Hovik in different environments. He was a
student-athlete at CCHS and was well respected amongst his peers, and staff
members. He decided to come back and coach and student teach at his former
school and I respect him very much for that.
Since the beginning of the semester he has done great things in the
short duration of time being here. He is well respected by the students, does a
great job keeping engagement high and transitions brief to assure the engagement
process. His classroom management is working very well, with very nice teaching
moments, and opportunities to correct directly/indirectly to student understandings.
He will continue to perform well in the classroom with his planning, wide variety of
games, and keeping the students interested.
I look forward to his continued success, not only as a teacher/coach but
as a friend. He is top notch when it comes to character and any school would be
very lucky to have him be a leader on their team. Please do not hesitate to contact
