The teacher will ask the students in the warm up question Is it humans responsibility to help
endangered animals? Why or why not?. Next the teacher will show the students a PowerPoint
with pictures of the sea lions in Alaska and Russia. The teacher will explain to the students that
they will be reading about the populations of these animals and discussing why the populations of
these animals are changing.

are any more questions or concerns regarding the material. In addition, the teacher will re-ask the
students Is it humans responsibility to help endangered animals? Why or why not? and If so
what can/should we do to protect the Steller Sea Lions?
