Independent Experience (Paired work)


The students will read the "The greedy green gremlin story" in pairs.
Giving instruction and teaching the activity:
They will turn to the mat to introduce the writing activity.
Before the writing activity:

I will write "When I see the gremlin I...."


Then, I will show them the synonym of being afraid.
After that I will give the students opportunity to express their feeling by actin
out.
I will made gremlin as a prop. I will hold the gremlin and I will choose 4 stude
to act their feeling when they see the gremlin with starting "When I see the
gremlin I.....".

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)


In the writing activity:
High ability:

I will check their works and see how they start and end their sentences spelli
and their vocabulary.
Medium ability:
Ask them about their feeling and they will do if they see the gremlin.
Low ability:

Give them example about how I will feel and what I will do if I see the gremlin
Encourage to say the sentences.

Independent Experience(small group activity)


High ability:

With using the thermometer the I place it in the words and the examples that
given they will write the sentences.
Medium ability:

To make it easier after discussing their answers, I allowed them to write 1


sentence that express their feeling, 2 sentences that express their action whe
they see the gremlin.
Low ability:

Time: Whole

To make it easier for them, I allowed them to describe their feeling with using
thermometer scared paper with maximum two sentences. The last sentence
need to be creative and describe what they will do.
Closing

Revise the phonics encourage the students to give me words with air and are
sounds.
Assessment

Assessing their prior knowledge of phonics instruction.


Ask them to spell air and are sounds to assess their phonics instructions with these
sounds.
See how identify the air and are sounds in the story book.
While writing the activities, observe their spelling, words formation and the vocabu
they choose.

Telling the objectives:

Before the class start I told the students the objectives which made them know wha
they will do.
Behavior management:

In this time I used counting strategy for transition with closing my eyes. The studen
respond better with this strategy. I also, encouraged the quiet students to participa
the class which made all the students to be quiet to participate with me.
Focusing on the visual skills:

I used game that has pictures without the words and the students need to identify t
name of the picture by using air and are sounds. This game fit and improve their vi
skills. Another strategy that I used was using puppets in acting to learn the look of
gremlin.
Clear instruction:

My instruction was clear because I broke the strategies in small steps, modeled the
activity and used intonation.
EBI:
Make sure about the vocabulary:

"Gremlin" was new word for me. Honestly, it was hard for me to say it or write it. So
tried to decode the word and pronounce it many times. However, I failed in learn th
word and in deliver it rightly because when I learned I didn't write it in note book.
Therefore, I forgot the spelling and I wrote it wrongly.
Next time I have to write new words in piece of paper to ensure that I give right
vocabulary.
Monitor the students works:

All the students were in the task accept one students because I didn't ensure about
the students. I was giving the maximum support for low ability students. I next tim
need to make balance with all students abilities by monitor them all with giving les
ability students support that they need it.

Next Steps in learning and teaching:


Decode the new word for me and ensure about the spelling of it.
Walk around the class and make sure they are doing.
