Introduction:
Certainly, as we know that when a beginner participates in new field, he learn new things and
earn knowledge. As a result, I created a video that related to the science experiment about hot
and cold water, this activity aimed to grade 5 between 9-10 years old.
Moreover, I saw a lot and various experiments whereas the experiment that I had chosen it
attracts me because the result of the experiment is beneficial for both of students and
teachers. Based on that students will learn the differences between hot and cold water, their
benefits. On the other hand, the teachers will have an opportunity to be knowledgeable, and
also she will give students a chance to learn or analyze things that can make them get the
experience through applying it.
Furthermore, the process of making a video had taught me a lot and let me acquire information
that was unknown to me. The key point is that I get experienced from this experiment, through
gaining knowledges, developing the significant skills that can help me to introduce my work in a
professional way and how to handle or fix the problems that I faced it. Whereas, I faced some
difficulties while I am doing the experiment, one of them was when I turned the cup of hot
water outside down my hands were burned, but while I am organizing the video I didnt faced
any difficulties.

The learning objectives:

For clarifying, I figured out the learning objectives of the science activity and what students will
learn after the experiment.
1- Students will discover that the hot water is less dense and weight of the cold water.
2- Students will interpret the molecules in the cup of hot water are spaced.
3- Students will detect that the hot water molecules are moving fast whereas the
temperate water molecules are moving slowly, and the molecules in the cold water are
very slowly.

Description of each of the 5Es and process skills we chose:

There are 5Es that lead to teaching and learning improvements, so we chose three of them
which are Explore, Explain and Evaluate.
The explore phase provides the opportunities for students to participate in the topic and
grapple with the dilemma to build their thoughts in order to describe it in their own words.
Furthermore, evolve notions and skills.
Secondly, in the explain stage the teacher encourages students to explain what they have been
exploring or clarify their understanding of the process in their words. Also, they have a chance
to express their thoughts or ideas.
The third phase is evaluate, its for both of students and teachers to recognize how much
understanding has taken place. Moreover, this stage supports students to assess their skills,
abilities and the teacher evaluate students progress through asking them open-minded
questions of main concepts.
Moreover, there are seven process skills and we apply two of them, such as Observing and
Analyzing.
The observing process is about watching carefully in order to take important notes that related
to the concept. While students were observing, they should use their all five senses, and this is
the method to discover the main information.
On the other hand, analyzing is about studying something to determine the importance
information of the experiment based on their searching. Additionally, is about process that a
student applies it through analyzing a situation.

How do the 3 science activities fit the 5Es?

To promote the information, we did the explore stage because from that students will apply the
experiment and based on that they will develop their abilities in the new field. On top of that,
the activity that I had did it includes the explain phase because there are abstract notions that
students have to explain it to the teacher based on their understanding. Moreover, in the
experiment, I include a worksheet as an activity and I put questions that can let students think
and evolve their skills on it. So, the teacher will assess her students with this worksheet based
on their analyzing of the experiment.

This table describes the contributions between me and my partner in producing

the science activity video:
Bshayer
She did water temperature
experiment.
She created the iMovie and organized
it.
She find out one of the objectives from
her experiment.
Bashayer figured out the process skills
definitions that we had chosen.
The Part B of the worksheet had
written by Bshayer.
She Recorded the video while I did the
experiment.

Mariam
I did cold and hot water experiment.
I created the PowerPoint for the video.
From my experiment I find out two
objectives.
I figured out the 5es definitions that
we had chosen.
The part A of the worksheet had
written by me.
Recording the video while Bashayers
doing the experiment
