have 5 classes of 24+ students, and
63 tested objectives for the semester!

Why Utilize Technology


To Engage, Assess and Differentiate
Common Core Anchor Standard 6: Use technology, including the
Internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others.

Speaks the students language (or does it?!)


Immediate feedback options
Creates an objectivity of observations
Offers a permanency of evidence
Analytics can show patterns within a class, or for an individual

Challenges of Utilizing Technology

Accessibility to technology and/or the internet


Need ground rules for student use of technology
Students who dont know a lot about using technology
It takes time to learn the tool
Some tools have embedded traits that challenge certain
students or populations (cultural aspects of ESL students,
publicly shown responses can embarrass some students,
competitiveness, etc)
