Objectives
1. Students will discuss proper concert etiquette and complete a
mock concert run.
2. Students will play their concert music using all the markings and
information the teacher gave them; they will play expressively.
3. Students will listen to the speaking parts for each piece.
Speakers will be clear and confident.

Concert Program
Students and teacher will discuss proper concert etiquette during
performance, and when off stage
o When is it appropriate to talk?
o Cell phone etiquette: should be turned to silent or off
o When onstage you are always performing even if you are
not playing! Proper posture and behavior is expected.
Alyssa will introduce symphonic band and St. Petersburg March
o Program: Russia, cultural capital
o Play St. Petersburg March
Cooper will introduce Cumberland Cross and thank Ms. Oyler
o Program: Cumberland Gap, chorales, folk song
o Play Cumberland Cross
Teacher will introduce Centuria and final thank you
o Program: Fanfare
o Play Centuria
Assessment: Assessment will be informal. Teacher will be paying
attention mainly to concert etiquette and making sure speaking parts
go smoothly.
