computer to create a slideshow/movie.

Procedure

Teacher will overview the Functions of Plants


chapter in the Science textbook to the students
to introduce them to the subject.
Teacher will assign students to groups of three.
Each group is assigned a computer in the
computer lab.
Teacher will tell students that each group will be
making a slideshow/movie to turn in about the
structures and functions of plants.
One student in each group will search online for
an image of a plant stem, flower, root, and leaf
and save them to the computer they are using.
They will also search for at least one sound
effect on soundbible.com to use in the video.
A different student in each group will look in the
Function of Plants chapter of the Science
textbook to find the functions of a plant stem,

The last student in each group will use Windows
Movie Maker to put together a slideshow/movie
using the images and information found by the
other students in their group.
Each group will put a title slide at the beginning
of their movie and a credits slide at the end with
their names.
Each group will save their movie in a common
format.

view each groups completed movie and grade it
based on the grading rubric.
